Happy Birthday Cabhan

Cabhan turned three on July 25th. Instead of doing a big birthday party with friends and family we just went our little family to Lagoon. The boys had a great time. Ciaran was finally tall enough to go on one roller coaster The Bat. He thinks he is pretty cool now. I only got pictures at Lagoon a beach. The kids didn't like it as much as we thought they would but it was very very cold water too so I don't blame them. We also did have a small party with my family to celebrate Cabhan and my dad's birthday but I didn't take any pictures that day either.

Angel Moroni Pictures

ANGEL MORONI

Tuesday, July 8th we had a very cool once in a life time opportunity. With Aaron working at the draper temple he new when they would put the Angel Moroni on. It was top secret so Aaron only told my mom and told her she could come but could only bring my grandma. Well word got out fast after a young womens group met at the church to leave for girls camp that morning and saw the angel laying on the trailor. It was a very cool experience other than I think my kids liked watching the cranes move more. Oh well one day they will think it is cool.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

Well July Fourth was a week ago but that is okay. We had a way fun fourth of July this year. Aaron had to go into work unfortunatly so me and the boys went to Jessica's appartment to swim. We had a great time. Then when we got home Aaron was home now and so we blew the kids pool up and they swam some more in our back yard. We have been going to Park City's firework since I met aaron (that is where we got engaged ten years ago) so that is where we went to see fireworks again. They always put on a great show and we are always impressed with it and not to big of a crowd considering.

Another update

For fathers day I boutht the boys little model airplanes to paint and put together with their dad and then they got a Dinner with dad that they put together at Debbies house. They had a fun time spending the time with Aaron. ALso on that sunday we had my family over to our house for a bbq and have the kids play. Fun times.

Better Late than Never

On sunday in young womens our lesson was on heritage and what kind of ancestors we wanted to be. During the lesson I realized that I wouldn't be a very good ancestor because I dont keep a very good Journal. So I have decided to be better. This entry might be boring and long but I have a lot of catching up to do.

In may for my birthday me and the boys went to California to visit Arch and Kiley. We were only supposed to be gone for a week but stayed two. That always happens when I get there. I never want to come back. We had a fun time just relaxing and hanging out with the kids. Aaron wasn't able to get all that work off so he stayed home and worked. (I think) ha ha. At the end of the trip we went to Palm Springs with arch and kiley to stay in their condo and go to Nick's dance competition. He got first place for his solo. He is a very good dancer. We had a ton of fun swimming in their pool and Ciaran loved going down the big slide. I didn't take any pictures other than my birthday party and at palm springs so enjoy.

4.0 GPA CONGRATS DAD YOU ROCK

For years everyone would tell our dad that he was so smart and talented that he needed to go to school and get a real job and get paid for his smart brian that he has. Well finally after we dont know how many years, because we weren't alive for some of them, of just having get you by jobs but nothing that was career worthy he got a job working for a family friend. It has been an awesome job and he is going to school to become a journeyman. It is a four year program and he just finished his second year and he has a 4.0. Yes that is correct. My dad is brillant. How do you get a 4.0 in college. I dont know but he does and is amazing. We are all proud of him and though we hate it sometimes when he has to go to school at night when we would rather him stay home and play with us he still goes and is doing wonderful like his grades say. With his job he gets to work on a lot of the temples and is currently doing the Draper Temple. Last year his work went to Tonga, Australlia, San Diego and Oregan just to name a few. He hasn't been on any out of town ones lately becuase of school and draper but pretty soon. Good job dad we are proud of you and are so happy that you finally get to use your brian at work.
Love, Ciaran and Cabhan (and mom)

We had the most wonderful weekend. A few weeks ago I got a bee in my bonnet to go camping. Angie and Doug just got a tent trailer for Christmas so we called them and started planning. Aaron had the most wonderful idea to go to gobblin valley. We had so much fun. The kids were totally entertained all day playing in the sand and climbing the rocks all around our camp ground. I packed them a ton of toys that they didn't really play with but oh well. We got off to a very late start but finally got to camp about ten thirty thursday night. After setting up camp we all just mostly went to bed. Brian and Kristynn got to camp on friday early afternoon and after setting up camp for them we took a nice nap. The kids had been climbing over every rock and up and down every hill around by then so we were all tired. Friday night for dinner we had tin foil dinners and they were sooooo yummy. I forget how good they are. Saturday we went and explored gobblin valley. The kids loved it so much but they did get tired earlier then we thought. They were up and down all the hills and rocks though. Angie did a way yummy dutch oven dinner saturday night which even my kids loved so that is always a plus. Well I am so in the camping mood so if anyone wants to go let me know and I will find a way to tag along.

Also please remember on April 19th is my young womens fundraiser and we are having a fiesta. Please come and support me and the young women in my ward. There will be way yummy food (a taco bar and enchiladas) and some entertainment going on through out the night also. It is from five thirty to eight thirty and come and go so please put it on your calenders.

Ciaran Turns Four / Pirate Bowling Party

Holy Cow I can not believe I have a four year old. I don't know why but that seems so much older to me than three. For Ciaran's birthday he has been saying for months that he wanted to go "real" bowling and have a pirate party so his wish was my command. I actually started planning it back in January and Aaron kept telling me I was crazy and his birthday was still two months away and that he needed to get past today before we started planning Ciaran's party three months away. But you know me I need things planned way ahead of time.
So we had quite the party. A lot of the adults even ended up bowling so it was way fun. The kids love bowling and it is very fun to watch them. Check out the pictures.

Dawson Turns Two

Thursday, March 6th was Dawson's second birthday party. Angie had it at jungle jims which the kids couldn't have been happier about. They love that place. I have been fighting a cold lately so I wasn't as excited to be there as usual and didn't ride any of the rides with the kids. The kids had a grand old time though and as usual didn't want to leave when it was time to go. Happy Birthday Dawson!

Busy Busy

Holy Cow Life is toooooo busy. I have been working pretty much full time since Jessica had her baby and I am getting nothing done. We are living out of laundry baskets because I dont have time to fold laundry. Hopefully this weekend I can catch up but we do have Ciaran's 4th birthday party on saturday. We are having a Pirate Bowling party. He is sooooooo very excited that we get to go "real" bowling. They both love to bowling and it is quite funny and entertaining.
This week has been so busy. Just a recap. Tuesday night we took Ciaran and Cabhan shopping to Toys R Us to pick out Ciaran's Birthday Present. He has said all along that he wants a Guitar (he loves playing dads and is very careful with it) and a new bumble bee transformer and another optimus prime transformer. Well at the store he wanted what ever was in front of him at the moment. We ended up getting him a Pirate ship to have at his own house. He has one at Grandma Doloris's and Grandma who calls grandpa Mike's (grandma Gwen) houses now but not his own. Well we also wanted to him a scooter since it is starting to get warm and he loves being outside but decided to wait for Easter and then we could get both Ciaran and Cabhan one.
Wednesday night I had the opertunity to go to New Beginnings at our ward for the young women and meet all the new beehives that are coming in. It was a very fun night. They now have a nursery every wednesday night for the kids of all the leaders for mutual which made it very nice. I didn't have to find a babysitter or anything which made it very nice and stress free. To bad we didn't think of that when we were in young womens huh quinn. Duh I dont know why because they always have it for the RS activities.

TENDER MERCIES

As I am sure everyone knows my younger sister Jessica gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on February 20th, 2008. She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 20 inches long. I have not done a post on her yet becuase I dont have a camera and so I didn't have any pictures of her but my mom emailed me some so now I can finally do it. It was a long day of waiting for all of us especially Jessica and Jay. They arrived at the hospital around five and the nurses almost sent Jess home around seven am because even though she was having major contractions she wasn't dialated at all and you have to dialate for them to consider you in labor I guess. Thank goodness her doctor was there and making the rounds around seven and came in and told her if he could break her water she could stay and have this baby today. So after a long day of just waiting and never dialating past a 2 the doctor gave her a choice of having a C-section and Jessica agreeed. She was tired and ready to be done with waiting.

Jessica was born with a cleft pallit cleft lip which always made her nervous to have kids not wanting to pass that "defect" on to them. I remember when Ciaran was born she would just stare at his lips and nose at how perfect they were and I just new she longed for that in her own kids oneday. Well she did deliver a perfect little baby girl with the most perfect mouth and nose that you could ask for. Infact in most of the pictures that I have at the office people ask if she has lip gloss on. Her little perfect lips just glitter and shine like saying look at me. This was such a tender mercy for all of us to see Jessica get this perfect gift from our Heavenly Father after all she has been through. She has had so many surgeries we have all lost count but this last surgery she had (C-section) she received the best gift ever and and I think it was Heavenly Fathers way of saying good job sticking through everything you have been through and here is my reward to you. Congradulations Jessica and Jay you have a beautiful perfect baby girl and she is certainly a gift from heaven.

FREE ZOO DAY

Today was free zoo day at our local Hogle Zoo. The zoo does this four times a year during the winter the last wednesday of every month from November to February. I try to take my kids at least one day every year to see if they like it enough to buy a season pass. Well in the past years they have been more interested in the sticks and garbage on the ground then the animals but this year it was great. They loved it so much. Every animal we came to Ciaran's first concern is if they bite. That is his latest thing on everything is if it bites. I dont know why he has never been bit by anything that I know of but it is obviously a concern of his. But we had a great day. We met Melissa, Becky, Cady, Conner and Alexa there so the it was fun to get the cousins together. I also met Charees and her boys Landon and Logan and Quinn and Tate and Clair. So between everyone there that we knew we had a great time. We got to see the White Aligator which was way cool. I thought that they moved the aligator to a different zoo in September so I was kindof bumbed that we never got to see it but it is still there. I would recommend everyone to go see it. So I think I will get a season pass this year for our kids so if anyone ever wants to go to the zoo let me know and we could tag along.

Young Womens Camp

Well the cannon fourth ward is going to entrust the young women in my hands again this year for girls camp. I am so flippen excited that it is finally time to start planning and get ready for girls camp. I know a lot of people think I am high on something that I would ever want to have this calling for the third year in a row but I completly love it. I would probably say to all you and your callings that I am so greatful for the calling I have becuase it is just up my alley. I am very excited for this experience again and I hope I can help the girls in what ever areas they need help in. As everyone knows though I am a very high stresser and I have to take medications for that but I have already had one round of shingles just stressing to much about calling my helpers. I have that task over so now we move on. Well I am open for any ideas that anyone would like to give. I have found some wonderful websites but the more help the better. The bishop bore his testimony very strongly to me about deligation so I will listen to that. The stake theme for camp is "LET YOUR LIGHT SO SHINE" so the theme that I am going to do for our ward to go along with the stake and also the world wide theme 2008 for the youth is "CONSTANT AS A NORTH STAR". This theme comes from the most beautiful song about President Hinkley laying out under the stars at night and noticing that all the stars moved but one the north star. Everyone needs to read the lyrics to this song it is so good. Well everyone wish me luck and I expect everyone to come out and support our young women at our yearly fund raiser to help earn the funds for camp which will be April 19th. We dont know what we are doing for sure yet but please keep posted.
1. When President Hinckley was a boy,he slept outside for fun.He noticed all the stars would move, except for one.
2. Discouraged while in the mission field,he read these words from home:“Forget yourself and go to work.”His heart was stirred to
3. So if you’re discouraged or confused, just think of that bright star.Remember what our prophet saidAnd who you are.
Chorus: Be constant as the North Star that shines for you and me,Anchored in the gospel with pure integrity,Steadfast in your service to God and fellowman.President Hinckley has shown us that we can.

LONG TIME NO SEE

Well I haven't written for so long that i have so much to say and dont know where to start. I was really wanting this blog to be more like a journal/life history and did really well at first but have slacked off.
One of my news years resolutions this year was to read my scriptures every night to keep up with the lessons in Sunday school. I have a very hard time understanding the scriptures therefore in my life I haven't been a very good reader. Well I found the most amazing book to help me. You hear those stories of people reading the book of morman in one day and not being able to put it down and I have never understood that because I have a hard time reading a chapter a night. Not that I dont like to read but like I said that I have a very hard time understanding them. So I got the book Book of Morman made easier and I love it. I totally understand not being able to put it down. I love it. I finally understand what is going on. Aaron would always try to explain things to me when we would read together but it just isn't the same. So to anyone out there with the same problem as me having a hard time understand the book of morman language I would recomend this book.
On Saturday, February 9th we had Jessica's last baby shower. It was held at the office and we had invited a bunch of the patients from the office. Jessica was convinced that no one would come but we had a great turn out and a great time. We see our patients at least monthly so we become very good friends with them. We had a lot come with their grandkids which are the same age of my kids. We always talk to eachother about our kids/grandkids so it was fun to finally see all of the kiddies. After the shower me and Jess went to Babies R Us on a fun shopping spree. This is so much fun for me and as jessica says she can really use the help becuase she doesn't know anything about having babies. She is very appreciative of all my help. She said she would still be in babies r us wondering around not knowing what to get and very overwhelmed. I love helping out with baby stuff it is so fun.

Life goes on

Well today was my day off as usual and it was a very busy but productive day. For the car to get fixed the insurance of the school bus required me to get to estimates for the work that needed done. So last night I took it to Larry H Miller at the auto mall and got it done. While we were waiting for them to do it Angie and I went to the mall with all five kids and picked out our easter outfits for the kids. My dad does this for us every year. He buys the kids and us all a new Easter outfit for easter sunday and then we usually get the kids pictures taken in them also. So today me, Ciaran, Cabhan, Dad, and Jessica all took my car down to provo to one of our patient's body shop and had him do the second estimate. Of course we did also stop at brick oven for lunch which made it worth the drive for sure. While eating lunch at Brick Oven Cabhan, for the first time, told me he had to go potty before going in his pullup. I was so excited and jumped up and probably scared everyone else in that part of the restraunt but thats okay.

After driving back from Provo me and jessica decided to go shopping to Walmart. Jessica stated she thought she could handle the shopping spree if she could get a wheel chair. She is having so much leg, hip and pubic bone pain that she cant walk. So she swallowed all of her pride and we got her a Motorized wheel chair. I couldn't believe that she actually did it so you have to know that she really must be hurting bad. Mom and Grandma Williams came down and met us at Walmart and we spent about two hours there I think but we all had a great time. After that Grandma needed to go to Costco to pick up her glasses so we all tagged along again and yes Jessica rode in a wheel chair around costco too.

Always look behind you

Well what an interesting morning it has been already and it is only noon. While on our way to Debbies house this morning I found myself behind a school bus in her neighborhood. "Look boys there is a school bus in front of us." and of course they both looked. The bus stopped infront of a house and so I stopped behind it to patiently wait while she picked up some school kids. Then all of a sudden the bus started backing up. I slammed on my horn and before I could put my car in reverse she slammed into the front of my car. The worst part is I had just pointed out to the boys that hurray look there is a school bus in front of us so they saw everything. Ciaran started screaming. None of us were hurt at all but a little shaken up. Still in the car tring to calm down Ciaran the bus driver came up to my window to make sure all was okay. Then she proceeded to say there isn't any damage so we can probaby just go. Me being the smart one said well let me get out and check it out because I couldn't see being hit by a bus and not having anything happen to my little santa fe. So I got and sure enough. It wasn't horrible but there was some damage done and I am so glad I didn't just say oh your fine just go ahead. Thanks to my dad always drilling us with never leaving the scene of an accident without calling the police. Thanks dad. So then we did the usual calling the police and filling out the reports. Ciaran started freaking out when he saw the police man. We are kindof bad because we tell him all the time that police man are bad and we hate them. Opps thats our fault. So Debbie came and picked up Ciaran so he would be happier. Thanks Debbie. Angie came also and brought her camera so I could take pictures. Thanks Angie. SO what an exciting morning we had and now we have to get our car fixed what a pain but at least no one was hurt.

Jessica's Baby Shower from the family

Today we had Jessica's baby shower from the Williams family. It was so much fun. We had such a fun time planning it. Me, Angie and Laura were in charge and we did a wonderful job if I do say so myself. Laura was on a mission to make sure Jessica got a bassint and she came through beautifully. The only hard part was that it came in a box and we wanted to have it put together so it would be ready when Jess got it and she wouldnt have to put it together. Well we did it. We only had to take it a part a couple of times and then Lex came to help us also. Thanks Lex. Anyways she was so excited and it is the cutest bassinet I have ever seen. They are usually not very cute at all. Also Angie got the bea in her bonnet to make her a "Diaper Cake." I thought it sounded kindof weird at first but when she showed me I could see what she was saying. It turned out so dang cute and she is actually going to start selling them so if anyone is interested in one let me or her know. She is amazing as we all know. She is Martha in one more area.
While at the shower Aaron had the boys for the day. They were having a rather relaxing day until Trudy called him to come to her rescue for a "Griswall Project." She had the lesson on sunday and it was on eternal companions and just needed aaron to do some majic because all of her other plans had fallen through. So he did his magic and cut her pieces of the granite from the draper temple for each of the girls to have and they had a picture of President Hinkley sit in them. They turned out very cool. Good Job Aaron. You are amazing as we all know. If I can get a picture of them I will post it.

Dog looses his nuts, Retaliates by stealing Aarons

After a trip to the vets, our dog foud himself lacking something to lick. He got even the other night when Aaron decided to change the brakes on his truck. Aaron took all the lug nuts off the tire and the bolts from the calliper arm and set them neatly behind him. One by one Rumsen, our one year old black lab, took them and carried them off in the the snow. Whether or not he ate them or simmply droped them in the deep snow remains a mystery. What is for certian is that after spending twenty miniutes trying to find them Aaron figured out the dog was taking them because while looking for the missing ones he saw the dumb dog come get one of the few remaining ones and carry it off. He found one in the snow but before he could return it to the pile the dog took yet another one. Full of frustration and while spewing mumbled obsenitys into the cold night air he picked up the rest of the nuts and bolts and put them into his pocket. Once the remaining hardware was secure he kicked the sorry dogs ass back into the house, locked him in, and then proceeded to find a ride to the nearest part store to aquire the nessessay parts to put the truck back together. This spring as we mow the lawn we will see whether or not they were mearly droped or shat out. Unless of course they were to get cross threaded in him and then we will both end up back at the vet.

At the bowling Alley

Today was free zoo day and I always plan every year to take my kids on this day to see how much they like it if it would be worth to buy a family pass for the year. Well if we all remember how freezing cold it is today you will understand why I decided not to go to the zoo today. Well actually I had invited my dad to come with us with it being Wednesday we all had the day off. My dad told me that he would like to spend time with me and my boys but he did not want to freeze to death but he would love to take us bowling. Well last year we took our kids bowling for the first and they both loved it so I said i would love to do that. My kids were so excited when I told them that grandpa was going to take us "real" bowling not toy bowling. We all had such a fun time. Jessica being eight months pregnant also came and when we checked in at the desk to get our shoes the lady told her she better not have it here today because she didn't want to clean it up. She was kindof onary and we didn't think she was very funny. We all had a great time and that is what Ciaran wants to do for sure now for his birthday. No Jessica didn't go into labor but it was pretty funny to watch her bowl.
Pictures still to come
